3 Reasons Why You Need to Earn More Money
I was just going through the results of a little survey I sent my subscribers. I asked them to give me a few examples of expenses they have that the ability to earn more money would help with. I asked this in the context of their interest in using digital marketing to provide additional income. Not necessarily by going for a complete switch to making their entire income online – a big move for sure – but as a means to boost income.
So here is a sample of their responses together with some associated costs for each.
Earn More Money for Raising children
I don’t have kids myself but was able to find some facts and figures about the cost of raising a child from birth to 21 years of age. These days having children of 21 and older still at home is not uncommon. According to research done by a marketing friend of mine the cost will be around £199,000 give or take a few quid. Quite a lot and I suspect quite a conservative figure.
Earn More Money – Learning to drive
I can speak with authority on this one as my partner is a driving instructor. The average pupil starting from scratch will need 40 lessons to be test ready. Lessons range in price but take £23 per hour as about average that works out at £920 plus test fees assuming they pass 1st time. Many people will need a few attempts plus more lessons so it could be much higher than that.
If you are the parent funding this you might want also to consider the cost of providing that first car as well….
Earn More Money to Fund College or University
Tougher to put an exact figure on because of the many variables in grants, student loans etc but a Business Insider article I found estimates around £5K per annum for a college education in the UK. http://www.businessinsider.com/tuition-costs-by-country-college-higher-education-2012-6?op=1
So even just with these three examples its easy to see that having a way to earn more money can certainly be a good thing. Even if you don’t aspire to being the next internet millionaire learning how to generate extra income from the worlds biggest marketplace has to be worth considering>.
The other options are to try for a pay rise – good luck with that! Or to look at an additional job in whatever spare time you have left. Not a very tempting proposition I would venture.

For many of the internet marketers I know both full time and part time these were the kind of everyday costs that led them to the internet to earn more money. As a bonus it is also fun and if you really go for it a enviable lifestyle to boot. It’s really just a case of doing the necessary learning and putting the time in. People think nothing of paying for the driving lessons or the college education or the kids after all (and find the money somehow) so what’s so different about investing in a different more state of the art education?
